Venky Kudumula is the writer and director of the 2020 Telugu-language romantic comedy film Bheeshma. While Anant Nag, Jisshu Sengupta, Vennela Kishore, and Sampath Raj play supporting parts, the movie's stars are Nithiin and Rashmika Mandanna. Under Sithara Entertainments, Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is in charge of producing it. Mahati Swara Sagar is the composer of the soundtrack. The movie was well-received upon release on February 21, 2020, and it was a financial success.
Plot
Bheeshma, the CEO of Bheeshma Organics, successfully persuades farmers to switch from using chemicals in farming to organic methods. Then he informs the media that he will name the company's new CEO on its 50th anniversary.
Later, it switches to Bheeshma. Prasad is a single man who constantly looks for love. He meets Sarah during the pre-wedding celebration of his friend Parimal's boss. He convinces her to elope with him by introducing himself as Bheeshma I.A.S. (I am Single). After realising that he is poor, she forces him to go to the police, which causes Parimal to lose his job. His uncle JP must summon ACP Deva, a classmate, to save him. Deva requests that JP bring Bheeshma to him so that he can be disciplined because he thinks Bheeshma is a "failure" because he makes memes for a living.

Raghavan, the CEO of Field Science, then proposes a product called Instant that, via the application of chemicals, generates a six-month harvest in four months and attempts to persuade some of Bheeshma's farmers by arranging a live interaction with Bheeshma.
Bheeshma learns she is Deva's daughter after a series of humorous turns and turns. Bheeshma quickly wins over Deva's favour, while Chaitra dislikes him. Chaitra is driven around by Bheeshma, who works as a driver for Deva. When Chaitra and Bheeshma arrive at the encounter, they run into Parimal, a friend who they know from Field Science. During the conversation, Bheeshma praises organic farming and defeats Chaitra. Deva is furious when her cop sends a photo of the two of them hugging. When he arrives at Bheeshma's home, he is horrified to recognise Anand as his father. When Anand discloses that Bheeshma is the grandson of Sr. Bheeshma and the incoming CEO of Bheeshma Organics, he pulls out his revolver and decides to shoot Bheeshma, calling him a loser. The news of this shocks Deva and Bheeshma, and the media finds out.
It is revealed that Anand lied to Deva in an effort to keep his kid alive as Bheeshma is about to go to care for his grandfather. Bheeshma is surprised, and in the meantime, Chaitra phones him and says that he is a liar and that he misled her, and how she knows that he is not Bheeshma's grandson. She claims that her father wants her to marry him because he is the grandchild of Sr. Bheeshma chooses to be honest with Deva, but to his surprise, Sr. Bheeshma appoints him as the company's operational CEO for a period of 30 days. This choice astounded Bheeshma, who now hates Chaitra even more. Additionally, he discovered that Parimal had been fired from Field Science after Raghavan joined as Bheeshma's driver after learning that Parimal was a buddy of the latter. Then Bheeshma is shown about the office, where he swiftly gains the respect of the staff.
He also prevents a community from being forced to sign a Field Science agreement, infuriating Raghavan and regaining Chaitra's affection. In order to become India's top agricultural company and prevent Bheeshma from becoming CEO, Raghavan decides to give Sr. Bheeshma a poisonous hybrid plant, which renders him hospitalised. He also plants chemically created plants in Bheeshma's warehouse, further damaging the company's reputation by causing a police raid. Raghavan invites Ajay Varma, the agricultural minister, to the introduction of Instant, but to Raghavan's surprise, Ajay claims that the product is made of toxic chemicals and revokes Field Science's licence, putting Raghavan in bed.
He quickly learns that Sr. Bheeshma is still alive and was just admitted to the hospital because of a fever. Additionally, he discovers that Bheeshma discovered Sarah and Ajay in a hotel room and claims to have a pen camera and a button camera, prompting Ajay to make a speech about the dangers of the chemicals and how the police discovered that he had planted the plants. After Chaitra and Bheeshma marry, Bheeshma is appointed as the company's full-time CEO. He then declares that he is "Single for never" rather than "Single forever."

On March 30, 2019, Nithiin's birthday, Rashmika Mandanna announced the movie via social media networks.

Critical reaction
On the first day of its release, the movie received favourable reviews from critics who praised its actors, comedy, songs, and dancing sequences.

The Hindu's Sangeetha Devi Dundoo praised the comedy in the movie and stated: "Director Venky Kudumula puts such a character in the middle of a farming battle. The ultimate product is a mostly farcical comedy that occasionally features scenes that will make you laugh out loud and other times that are intentionally annoying.
