Les Schtroumpfs is the name of a computer-animated television series produced in Belgium by Dupuis Audiovisuel, IMPS, and Peyo Productions in collaboration with KiKA, Ketnet, RTBF, Dargaud Media, and TF1. [3] [4] It is
after the 1961 series and the 1981 series of the same name, this is the third television adaptation of Peyo's Belgian comic book series of the same name.
The majority of the animation for the series, 75% of it done at Dupuis' DreamWall facility in Charleroi, Belgium,[2] was created using computer graphics, and the series acts as a standalone sequel to the movie Smurfs: The Lost Village.
Peyo Productions announced the show in 2017. [5] The next year, its European broadcasters were announced: Ketnet (Flanders),[6] TF1 (France), KiKA (Germany),[7] and La Trois (Wallonia) (Wallonia). The American entertainment company Nickelodeon reportedly acquired the broadcast rights in 2020 for a number of its channels[8], however the airing arrangement excludes the original Smurfs television series from the 1980s (which continues to be distributed by Warner Bros. in North America).
The Smurfs will be available for international and domestic Netflix streaming after 18 months on pay-TV.

In February 2022, a second season with 26 episodes was announced; it debuted on July 18, 2022, in the United States. [10][11]

Broadcast
The sitcom is shown in its native Belgium on the Flemish channel Ketnet and on La Trois, an RTBF channel, during the "OUFtivi" programming block. In France, TF1, and Germany, KiKA, it is broadcast. [7] Currently, Nickelodeon in the United States and Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, and Channel 5 in the United Kingdom both broadcast the English-dubbed version. RTV has been airing the version that has been dub in Indonesia from 2022.
